I'd like to take a moment to welcome the 6th graders to the wonderful Moyock Middle School. Our middle school offers after school clubs/sports, a fitness room that has very high tech and good quality equiptment. All of our teachers are wonderful, and have at least graduated with a Bachelor's degree.
Four out of four students that I interviewed like being at MMS! They specifically like our school because they liked the different teachers, and changing classes. They loved that they were able to socialize in the hallway for three minutes in between classes. They also loved the challenge of the classes in place of the 'easy' things that they endured in elementary school.
The Moyock Middle School 6th graders also mentioned that it wasn't that big of a difference between middle school and elementary school, and the difference that there was, they love the change! When I asked the 6th graders how they liked all of teir teachers, they said that they loved all of them!
When I was in elementary school, my favorite part of the day was, by far, recess. So, in reaction, I asked the 6th graders how they were dealing with not having recess. Three out of four students liked not having recess, and like that they are getting more education!
I also asked the 6th graders how they liked the lockers and having to use a lock. They responded with, they aren't very fond of having to use locks. But they
love the change!
